The Silhouette was my first experiment with anything other than Tranquileyes hydrating goggle, when I was looking into products for a few customers who needed an alternative to Tranquileyes for one reason or another. When I got this mask, my first thought was "Isn't this kinda overpriced?" But I was actually quite pleasantly surprised at how helpful this was for me. I put my Dwelle in and the mask on. Seemed a bit snug at first so I wondered whether it would be comfortable all night, but it actually felt better and better the longer I had it on. And, importantly, it really did stay on all night. It was my good experience with the Silhouette that motivated me to go on and try out other sleep masks (and you'll find the ones I liked best in this same category).

I think sleep masks are a particularly good option for (a) people who want to try out the idea of night eye protection without making a big investment, (b) Tranquileyes users who want a convenient, inexpensive option alternative to use while travelling.

The Silhouette is designed along similar lines as the fancier Dreamer and Opulence models, but smaller and less luxurious and will not block as much light (hence, as much air). As regards size, it is somewhat smaller (that is, shorter side-to-side), and the "comfort bridge" - the plush pad that extends along the lower seam from one side to the other - is both shorter and considerably smaller in circumference. However, for many people it will do quite an adequate job, particularly for occasional use.
