![]() UV3 Sunglasses$17.00 -- Inexpensive but sturdy sunglasses with a foam lining. Black frame, grey lens.Susan at Boston Foundation for Sight introduced me to these sunglasses and I'm sure some of the folks at DryEyeTalk wear them as well. This is just what I was looking for, a simple low-cost sunglass with a foam lining to create something of a moisture chamber. There's not much in the mid range on foam-lined sunglasses (say $20-80 - all the high-end ones are $80+) but at least there are some cheap ones like this. Even for those who have expensive ones also, it's sometimes handy to have a cheap pair that you don't worry about damaging or losing, say at the beach.
The foam lining on these sunglasses is not really comparable to that on the 7Eye, Wiley-X or even Onion Goggles - not the same kind and not going to give you a perfect seal. However, it's a whole lot better than no foam at all. I would highly recommend these for outdoor use and especially driving.
Note 4/2010: In the last several months I've had probably 5 or 6 customers return these due to sizing being too small and it is true that these are on the small-ish size though not terribly so. You can return them if they don't fit.
