PRODUCT
DESCRIPTION
The slipcover is something I came up with to make rice baggies
both more practical and more comfortable. The extra layer of
insulation helps protect against "hot spots" (though I still urge
you to be very careful not to overheat the baggy, and to shake it
up thoroughly after heating before use) and in general makes the
baggy as gentle as possible on the eyelids and surrounding
skin.
It also means you don't have to throw away the rice baggy every
so often or, worse, be tempted to keep using it after it really
OUGHT to be thrown away.
The material is a soft, dense cotton knit - kind of like
sweatshirt material but not so stretchy. Very comfortable and
practical.
CARING FOR YOUR RICE BAGGY
SLIPCOVER
It's so tempting to say what all vendors of products made with
high quality fabrics say: Wash by hand in cold water, lay flat
to dry, etc, etc, etc. But now and then I get tired of doling
out advice that I am too busy or lazy to follow myself, so I will
just be honest with you. Personally I throw them in the washing
machine with my laundry and hang them up to dry. Your mileage
may vary, so... please don't interpret that as license to wash them
in hot water and throw them in the dryer for an hour and then come
crying to me when it turns into a thumb warmer. Bottom line, be
nice to your rice baggy slipcover and it will behave reasonably in
return. Expect a little shrinkage at first, but we make them large
enough to accommodate this.
Finally, lest anyone should overlook the truly obvious...
PLEASE DO NOT WASH YOUR RICE BAGGY. Just the
slipcover.
