WHAT THE MANUFACTURER SAYS
New thermoeyes
microwaveable Beads boost and enhance tranquileyes hot and
cold treatments. Made from glycerin, the beads heat up in hot
water. Use a microwave or other source to heat water, let
them sit for a minute, remove, insert into tranquileyes XR goggle
and wear. Enjoy repeated 15-18 minute warm compresses with
ease. Beads can also be used to create refreshing 15-30
minute cold compresses to reduce inflammation and
puffiness.
Kit includes four gel packs and
one set foam sleeves.
WHAT REBECCA SAYS
Thermoeyes Beads are small bead-filled gelpacks which you
heat in hot water and place in a little sleeve then in the
Tranquileyes XR goggle, so it can be used as a warm or cold
compress.
If you're already familiar with the instant Thermoeyes,
this product is a significant improvement. I found it more
comfortable, and it definitely lasts quite a bit longer. If I
weren't already wedded to a rice baggy, this would probably be my
heat product of choice, but for a lot of other people this will be
a better choice. For my personal use, I would put it in the sleeve
and apply it directly to the eyelids, but I won't vouch for the
safety of that approach as it is designed to be used in the
goggle.
In terms of convenience, no matter what you get there
will be tradeoffs. With instant thermoeyes (the blue type with the
disk in the middle that you push in/out to activate) it's very
convenient at the time of use, but you have to boil it afterwards
and cool it before you can re-use it. With thermoeyes beads, you
heat it up to use it and then you're done.
See Thermoeyes Beads product description for more
details.
