The Dry Eye Shop Shipping Policy
Please use the shopping cart to see which methods are available for your order. We use mostly USPS and UPS, but Fedex on some.

Some practical tips summarized here:

TIMING CONCERN? Anytime you need a guaranteed delivery date, please call or put a note on your order to ensure we meet your needs. Please bear in mind that only Fedex and UPS have money-back guarantees on the timing of delivery, not USPS. Choose your shipping method accordingly!

EXACT QUOTES? Please use the Determine Shipping and Sales Tax link in the cart to get quotes for your destination.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS? Please remember that your order may be subject to customs duties in your country! We cannot estimate or prepay these for you - they are your responsibility to pay in order to receive your package.

WHEN ARE CARDS CHARGED? If you are using a credit or debit card, the full amount of your order will be automatically preauthorized when you place orders online. Depending on the card type and issuing bank, pre-authorizations sometimes appear to be charges on your account even if they are not.  We normally do the actual payment processing when we start to process the order (typically up to 24 hours before shipping time). If you are ordering something that is on backorder or have any special needs or concerns about pre-authorizations, please let us know. If you order by phone, you may opt out of pre-authorization (just ask).

CHEAPEST SHIPPING ON SALINE? Cheapest shipping on heavy items like saline is UPS SurePost. It's shipped via UPS Ground all the way to the local destination, then final delivery is with USPS. This method typically takes anywhere from 2 to 7 business days depending on your location. (We are shipping from Poulsbo, WA, so destinations on the east coast will take the longest.) USPS Priority Mail is available on some shipments; since that utilizes flat rate boxes, it is sometimes the cheapest way to ship heavy things quickly, though it is not a guaranteed timing service.

MISDELIVERIES? Sometimes shippers mess up. Please, if you feel your order is late, don't wait. Check the tracking and contact us immediately. If you wait too long, it will be difficult to impossible to find out what happened to a missing package, and not all shipments are insured.

ERRORS in package contents? Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives and let us know immediately if there is anything wrong. If you received a partial shipment, please call us or check your shipping confirmation email in case it was shipped in multiple packages.
